Moose Tracks with Fudge

Soon the duo turned into a quartet. Natha arrived as did a man that she didn't recognize, but he smelled familiar. Maeva questioned her and Resin brought he singular gaze back to the wandering moose. She thought about it for a moment, running different scenarios through her head. There were four of them. It shouldn't be terribly difficult, especially with the giant ungulate being ill. "If two of you pull its attention and can lead it between some of the more thickly growing trees, it will hamper its movements. Then I can work on taking out the back legs." The ones leading would have to be quick on their paws. She believed Natha and Maeva would be good for the job. Bringing her golden eye to rest on the man, she continued. "Resin, Maeva, Natha," She gave their names to the man quickly. Introductions over. "You and I would be best suited to provide brute force." They were the largest of the foursome. If they could get beneath it to drop the thing, they would have it. Before she left the rest of the group to take up her place, she warned. "Be wary of the antlers, but the real damage will come from the front legs. Be quick and be safe. Don't take unnecessary risks." She'd seen moose snap spines with those legs. Quickly and quietly, Resin padded away, coming around the moose from behind. It was still dazed and meandering about. Sometimes it walked backwards, shaking its head. This could be easy, but the unpredictability would also make it very dangerous. "Speech" |
