To find out the truth
Sirius
The conversation she had with Elizabeth was rattling around in her head. Having left Auster and giving her goodbyes to the short peace she had... something bothered her. This could very well make her an enemy of her siblings. Should Tara or Mark end up somewhere else.... well Kaizer knew she had always been a bit different from all of them. She hadn't spoken to Tara since they ended up here even if she was concerned for her meek sister. Kaizer was a warrior! But she was not one to jump into anything without getting to know it. A pack of warriors wasn't really enough to get her sold. Liz was right.... and it was strange to come to an understanding with each other. She was a fighter Kaizer found survival difficult as a loner. Her mind wasn't engaged her skills were not being polished. Would this Sirius fellow claim her as a slave though? Would she find herself in a situation where she had no one to call for help. Kaizer stood on the border with her ears flicking. What would her mother say? Her father who she took more after. Kaizer was selfish but she had a digging sinking feeling that could only be ended by talking to this huge wolf. Perhaps it was time to consider finding a new family anyway. Liz and her siblings, their family, had valued their survival and gut instincts over right and wrong in the end. Even Liz knew that, they all knew that when their mother had died and when they lied to Roza about how she had died. War. It never changed and while she knew as far as it was Boreas was in an era of peace. The land was fertile and she felt like she could easily become complacent if things didn't change.
She raised her head in a howl - a call for the warlord. Liz's words hung in her head, "Even if we were to end up fighting each other. I'd expect you to give it your best Kaizer, you are not weak and if this is what's best for you then you should chase it. I'm sure Mark and Tara would agree." as Kaizer lowered her head there was a strange solemn feeling in her heart. Not because she felt like she was doing something wrong. It was Guilt that she actually agreed. She would rather be happy.... then chasing around her family name. |
