Hela settled into herself when she was around the rest of the Klein family. Deathbelle felt herself smile at her sister’s bright grin as they walked slowly down the beach. The warmth of the ocean warded off a lot of the winter’s chill but the wind was still cold. Her sister, always being the observant one, asked her bluntly if all was well.
”Just thinking, wondering if I’ll know the right time to pass on the crown.” She spoke lightly of the heavy topic as Hela affirmed she was on the end of her patrol. ”Walking, I’ll be heading out for the next one soon.” She patrolled frequently throughout the night. ”They are growing, the elder ones are fledging much too quickly for my liking. The younger ones have been quiet. I’m not certain where I’ll see them in the future.” Deathbelle was full of uncertainty these days, and it was wearing on the Empress.
