His attempt at slamming her would be successful to a degree. She had steeled herself against his attack and she managed to take the hit, something he could respect. Most tried to get out of the way or avoid it completely, but not her. His teeth landed in the scruff of her neck, and while that wasn't exactly where he wanted to bite, he decided it was better than nothing. He growled as her own teeth landed a bite on the side of his neck so he sought to violently shake his head in an effort to disorient her and force her to dislodge her own grip that she had on him.

The crimson male would spread his hind limbs then for better balance as he struck out with a foreleg in an attempt to swipe one of her forelegs out from under her. Hopefully, she'd lose her balance if she wasn't paying attention.
