Aslatiel felt instant shame and regret as her brother dove towards her, wrapping her in his embrace. She felt so bad for avoiding him, but at the time it had seemed like the best course of action. As her massive sibling curled himself around her, she placed her cheek against him, wrapping her own much smaller limbs around him as well. She could see the pain that she'd inflicted upon him and that was the reason for her shame. Dark ears tucked against her skull and Asla fought the whine that tightened her throat. Despite having pushed the feelings away, she realized just how much she'd missed Indigo. "I'm sorry," she whispered softly, still holding him tightly against her. Just being with him made her feel a little more whole. A little more sane. It made her rethink staying away from him. Maybe he was just what she needed to get herself back together. "Speech" |
