Sparian on Ice

Had they been on stable ground Sparrow's attempt to trip him up would have been swift. His dodge too would have played out quickly. The ice put a damper on their rapid, practice-honed moves. Though he could see what she intended to do and knew how to counter and protect himself, Tyrian could do little more than skid in place and inch away from Sparrow as she slid towards him. In the end she was unavoidable and the end result was a slow collision with him desperately trying - and failing - to turn and leap away. He ended up falling over top of her in a graceless mess. The only plus side to the whole thing was that getting a grip on her would hopefully be easy now that she was literally the road block he was hung up on.
Hoping to capitalize on her nearness, Tyrian attempted to cage Sparrow underneath his body using his legs. Getting his limbs squared away underneath him would be no small feat, but he hoped that if Sparrow stayed tangled up under him he could use her to ground his movements a little and keeping him from sliding around so much. She would be breaking up his contact with the ice and hopefully - to some extent - offer a surface that had a bit more grip to it. If he could just capitalize on that perhaps this fight on the ice wouldn't be such a lost cause after all.
