Bear massacre

After leaving the mauled form of Magnus in Indigo's care, Resin had immediately run after the bear that had caused his injury. It was headed in the direction of the Ashen pack, perhaps picking up the smell of young pups. Easy prey for a beast of its size. Strange though for a bear to be so intent upon eating wolves. There were many in this land, it seemed. First the cave bear, now this one. Though it hadn't stayed to eat Magnus. Perhaps there was something wrong with it?
Resin followed the trail of blood left by a deep bite in the bears neck. Something for the beast to remember Magnus by. It had made it all the way to the shrine before the ash and onyx woman caught up to it. As she approached, she could see the creature shaking its head in confusion. She could hear its groans and there was an odd smell in the air. It seemed ill, which would explain its attack and its hunt for an easy meal. Well... it wouldn't get one today.
Coming up behind the bear, the big woman sank her teeth into its left haunch, swinging her blocky skull back and forth to rend and tear. The bear groaned aloud and swung, one paw outstretched to swipe her away, but she had released it and drew back a few paces. The beast, angered by the attack, followed. Good. That was exactly what she wanted. Snapping and snarling, Resin lured the bear away from the Ashen stronghold bit by bit.
