The man lunged towards her, jaws open wide. His weight slammed into her, but her hind paws had been planted. Rather than allow him to sink his teeth into her neck, she rose on hind paws, giving him her shoulder instead. His fangs sinking into the scar tissue brought on a burning, searing pain.

Rising up had given her the stance that she was searching for. Still, she would not use teeth. Bringing her head down with force, Resin intended to slam her forehead against that of the man locked onto her shoulder. She should have been born a ram.
