Hanako coughed and spluttered as she stumbled back up the beach into shallower waters. It was only then that she realised that she wasn't alone, that she had some company. For a moment she thought one of her Keepers had finally caught up with her but once she blinked the salt water from her eyes she realised that wasn't the case. He was a stranger, tall dark and handsome with sharp eyes, like he was already three steps ahead of her. Specks of blood lingered on his muzzle, just out of reach of his tongue and the water surrounding his paws was tinted a pretty pink. The sight should have worried her, or at least instilled a sense of caution in her, but instead rather naively she thought nothing of it. Like she'd never even noticed it at all.

Instead her head tipped at his question. A death mission? Why on earth would he think that? His words were a little stilted, but not out of shyness or uncertainty, rather as though he was not speaking in his mother tongue. But he'd gotten her all wrong, playing in the water made her feel  overwhelmingly alive, the closest to freedom she's ever gotten.

"Oh no, I was just playing, Sir. But thank you for thinking of me." She dipped her head in reverence, her eyes looking upon his paws once more. The blood was gone, swept back into the ocean without a trace, as though the waves wanted to keep his secrets.

She turned a little then, gazing out at the horizon as a wistful sigh slipped from her lips. The waves whipped and churned and as beautiful as it was Hanako reluctantly decided that it'd probably be best if she stayed out of the water for now, just in case it decided to try and knock her over again. Besides, she hardly wanted to prance and frolic around when she had company, it wasn't proper. But she'd be back, perhaps on a day when things were a little calmer and she was all alone, as she sort of wanted to be.

"It's beautiful isn't it?" She asked him, an easy smile on her lips.
