For reasons Hanako couldn't fathom he seemed annoyed by her, solidifying it in her mind that she had in fact, in some shape or form, stepped on his paws. Even her untrained sense of smell could pick up the scent that lingered on the breeze, they were close to a pack but no so close that she was trespassing. So what then? Had she stumbled upon a place he'd claimed for personal use? That line of thought made the most sense to her and in a way she could sympathise with him; after all she'd be a bit miffed if someone let themselves into her personal den. He continued to regard her with a calculating, almost cold stare, and Hanako stood there unflinching as she allowed his gaze to roll over her. By then Hanako was used to the feeling but she couldn't help but wonder what he thought of her, whether he was impressed by what he saw.
"I'd be really grateful if you did." She said, her tail wagging in earnest, slow sweeps. She was really hamming it up, even for her.
His question threw her off and she took a moment to consider his words. At first it seemed fair enough but the way he worded it made it sound as though he thought she was up to no good. Which wasn't even close to the truth, but before she had the mind to say as much he bared his teeth in a silent threat, one that mostly went over her head. After all she'd never had such an encounter before, this was new territory and so her naivety was at an all time high. She blinked and her head tipped to the side in obvious confusion. She didn't really have a solid answer to give him but she had no intention of lying to him either, that just wasn't in her nature.
Her smile flattened into a thoughtful pout. "Hmm. I just thought it was quiet here. Pretty too."
