Much to Hanako's relief her response seemed to appease him as he was quick to let the matter go. Instead, he went onto introduce himself and her ears tilted forward when she realised just who she was dealing with. During her travels with her Keepers she had met many noble wolves, those of old blood and high social standing, but she'd hadn't yet had the chance to speak with a prince face to face. There had always been a messenger, a go between passing messages back and forth to keep it proper and follow tradition. But despite the uncertainty of the situation Hanako knew what to do.
"It is an honour to meet you, Your Highness." She'd already put on a show of offering her respects but in hindsight it seemed inadequate, like she hadn't given him the reverence he deserved. She dipped her head once again, lower this time and held it for a beat longer. When she finally raised her gaze she was careful to not look him directly in the eyes. "I'm Hanako." She had no fancy titles to flaunt and that suited her just fine, she knew her place and it fit her nice and snug.
She then followed his line of sight, her mouth pursing in awe as she looked upon the river and imagined the lands beyond it. Knowing her Keepers they'd be very interested in arranging a meeting with the Ashen Armada. She was a little chuffed that she hadn't needed them to act as an intermediary, that she had gotten this far all by herself. Which wasn't to say she had any intentions, nor would she impose or expect anything of his Highness but.... Well, she knew how her Keeper's minds worked and what they wanted from her in the end. That's all.
Turning back to him she shrugged a little sheepishly. "Your Highness, in all honesty I don't really know where I am. But I must thank you for clearing things up a little."
