Magnus offered a single snort in response, though hardly made the move to go first. He watched her carefully, studying for any sign of movement but was slightly surprised when she sprung forward, barreling towards him. He tilted his body in time with her veer, thankfully moving out of her way but still failed to dodge the catlike claws that combed through his fur and scratched at his skin. He was lucky to veer as much as he did, avoiding much of the pressure and deep scratching her claws would likely have done.

His head sprung around and his body followed to become perpendicular to her to grab at her tail and hopefully deter her from whatever attack she might have had planned. He didn't want to hurt the girl, but hoped his attack would land and slow her speed.
