make me feel brand new

He’d come back. He’d come back and he’d brought her everything she needed to recover from her first experience with drinking. Something she wasn’t sure she wanted to relive yet, but the emotions that had filled her along with the alcohol… She stole another glance at the mountain of a man as they settled back down. She lowered herself into a sphynx like position as he mirrored her and lowered himself before her.
Birds were one of the more frequent meals she received as a young child, her father always had a penchant for fowl. Maybe it was because he was such a bird brain himself. The thought made her chuckle inwardly as she worked away the feathers from the delicate skin of the carcass. At least until Sparhawk offered her the water skein. Her head throbbed as she accepted it without hesitation and drank from it much more heavily than she had last night with the wine. It was blessedly cool despite being against the heat of Sparhawk’s body.
She took a deep breath as she finished and returned her purple blue eyes to the ruby red gaze Sparhawk boasted as he offered his intended plans. He was going to walk her home. A blush grew on her features and her stomach flipped pleasantly at his words. She felt even more foolish for thinking he had abandoned her that morning.
”You don’t have to, it’s really far away…” She wanted him to walk her home, she couldn’t hardly believe how much she wanted that. Poem didn’t want to be a burden though, and he’d already done so much for her. ”I’d like that though.” Her sweet voice followed up shyly as she glimpsed from her ptarmigan and back to his face.
