His grin bloomed, front end dropping into a hint of a play bow, tail flagging over his hips in a wag before he launched forward in a low leap. He kept his center of gravity low, wary of her smaller size and given ability to reach his underside and throat from such a height.
He sought to come head-on, veering at the last second and seeking to swipe his left foreleg forward and out across her front, weight shifting to his other three legs, aiming to hook around and sweep her right front leg toward him and her left foreleg and unbalance her in the same moment he dropped his head and sought to ram the crown of his skull into her left shoulder, hoping to stagger the smaller wolf in the process.
He kept an eye on her out of his peripheral sight, watching to see what she would do and adjust accordingly.
