As Roan and Sirius placed their stakes within the pit, Resin rested up top, preparing herself for the hunt to come. She lay on the edge, paws hanging over the side. Ears perked as Sirius questioned her. "Nothing," she spoke. They were in the middle of a prairie with rolling waves of grass, thanks to the more than gentle breeze that crossed the expanse. "The blowing grass will serve as a visual barrier. With one of us on either side and one in the rear, they'll be too distracted by running for their lives to even notice." She knew this from experience. This wasn't her first pitfall rodeo, so to speak.
Once the stakes were in the pit and the boys were out of it, the scarred woman rose and shook out her thick, ashen pelt. The herd grazed at the far end of the prairie. They had a bit of a ways to run them, but it would be worth it in the end. Casting her golden eye towards Sirius and Roan, the dame flashed teeth. "It's a good thing I brought the big cart. We'll be eating well for quite some time." They would all have to pull the cart back.
Thick legs carried the giantess across the plain. She stuck to the taller grasses to hide her approach from the stinking, grazing herd of bison. There were many of them and they were all a little thinner due to the long winter, but she believed this hunt would be worth it. Casting a glance to Sirius and Roan, she motioned for either of them to take a side. She would run them from the back. Once they were both in position, she would begin.
