When boredom calls
Open spar

His work training Cypher and Kida was going well, or as well as could be expected for training two hyperactive young dog pups to fight. They'd acquitted themselves well against the wild dog the day they'd rescued that young girl from them, but it was time for a progress test to see how well they could work alongside him in a spar, so with the pair in excited tow, he set off for the battlefield where he could be certain to find a sparring partner.
He'd commissioned armor and a helm for himself and eventually planned to do the same for the dogs to protect them while they fought beside him, but they both grew like weeds and they'd outgrow them far faster than he could afford to replace them, so armor for the pair would have to wait until they reached their full height and weight. For now, they frisked about unencumbered as the three of them entered the battlefield.
When Kida went suddenly alert, and Cypher gave a faint huff of excitement, Eligos made himself focus on the battlefield, to see a figure approaching in the distance. He changed direction towards the figure, and as they came within hailing distance he realized that it was Acere, Winterfell's alpha. He stopped before the taller male and gave him a sharp nod in greeting. "Acere," he said calmly. "Are you seeking a spar, or recruiting?" If the latter, he would let him on his way, but if it was the former, Eligos would be more than happy to test himself and his proteges against the other alpha and his foxes. All three of the potential opponents were older and more experienced, but it would be an interesting probe into Acere's abilities as well as a better test than he would have hoped for.
