The sticky, delicious substance was delivered once more to his tongue and Deus lapped it happily, distracted from the pain. It stuck to his gums and his teeth and the roof of his mouth but he didn't mind, it meant the yummy honey would last longer and he could work it out from between his teeth whenever he wanted more.

His mom was collecting her supplies back up and in the meantime, Deus decided to get to work looking for the perfect tree. The pup's tongue slapped against his mouth audibly as he walked, head tilted as far back as it went to look up above at the trees.
