Thr next cry from Marshal told him that his son had avoided the blow, and was going for an equally vicious attack on his own. Good.

Sirius pivoted on his feet. He was accustomed to quick little wolves harrying his back feet these days. He met the bite aimed at his right hip with his own teeth. Elongated fangs intended to clash against his opponents maw. He would also flick his right paw forward, twisting so the blade popped free, and would attempt to hook his paw around the back of Pyrrhics front paw. At the same time, he wondered. Was this all the wolves Aerie had to throw at them?
