He marched along with the warriors of the pack, nervous energy nearly filling him to the brim. The antlered youth had never raided before and he was eager to try his paw at one. The fangs he had gotten from the firefly festival were securely fitted in his mouth, and his antlers nice and sharpened. He hoped he might do well and perhaps secure a promotion after his efforts. As his uncle paused to speak to them, he listened quietly before taking a deep breath and marching on after given the order. The wolves of Winterfell stood atop a hill, giving them a vantage point over Ashen's territory. And then before he knew it, a call from someone's companion alerted the wolves to approach from the opposition, and the fights started to break out. He paced where he was, keeping a watchful eye to ensure nobody tried to sneak up on him. He watched the others battle, the youth on high alert as he sought out his own target. Would his dad be proud of him for this? For trying at the very least? He silently hoped so. |
