Let's Get Ready to Rumbleeee!

A voice echoing down the entrance tunnel jerked Valentine awake. He groaned angrily and stretched. It occurred to him as he tucked his chin to his chest and straightened out his front legs that Lefty had been curled up against his chest. He swatted at her, using both his front and hind legs to drive her away. "Git! Git! What did I tell you, foul creature! Your side is over there!" Valentine dropped his head to his chest and wrinkled his nose. Now he smelled like skunk. Not the funky, weaponized butt stink, thankfully, just their musty base smell. Ugh.

"But you spoon me so good!" Lefty sang over at him knowing full well he'd hate every word. Valentine shuddered dramatically and made a retching sound. "You have a visitor. Maybe later we can pick up where we left off, eh?"

"Bite me," he snapped back as he shuffled towards the entrance.

"Oo baby!"

Valentine shot her an angry look but said nothing and hauled himself up through the tunnel. There was a small pale face just outside the entrance and Valentine aimed to get right up in his face. "What are you doing, making all that noise? Don't you know puppy eating monsters live down here? They'll wait 'til you get reaaaal close and then," he swiped at the air in front of Ulfr's front legs. "Drag you in!"
