Tasting blood was far less important to Kirsi than simply winning. If she could catch this pretty woman off-guard and send her stumbling, she'd take that as a victory regardless of how much the stranger suffered. Unfortunately for her, though the stranger stumbled she definitely didn't lose her balance entirely. It was enough to jerk Recluse forward, but instead she used it to her advantage, lunging forward and aiming to wrap a limb over her own much smaller form while her jaws found hold on Kirsi's shoulder. She winced, the sound following by a low snarl as her lips peeled back in a show of raw aggression.

The position, while not ideal, did leave a few potentially advantageous opportunities for her. Recluse was larger, and this position left her neck exposed in a way Kirsi had to take advantage of. Withstanding the hard bite Recluse had landed on her shoulder, she aimed to lunge upward, hoping to catch Recluse's lower jaw in a firm bite.. and if she succeeded, her upper teeth might cause lacerations down the side of her muzzle, though she knew her attempt was a desperate one at best.
