She spoke of listening to the trees, and he raised his head up, watching the branches wave gently in the soft wind. He smiled, and closed his eyes, listening to the rustle of the leaves. He opened his eyes to find her bowing, and started in surprise at the gesture. He wasn’t used to people introducing themselves to a pup with a bow. “Hi Meadow - I’ve heard of you, your Grammys sister, right?” he questioned, using his favorite endearment for his grandmother, Resin. “That makes you my… Great Auntie?” he clarified.

“I don’t know about dancing with the trees, but I love to try and climb them” he admitted, showing her his retractable cat-like claws. “Shh, don’t tell anyone” he whispered, eyes dancing. “But I like to climb them and chat with the birds” he waved his own wings and grinned. He was practically half-bird himself.
