The girl graced him with his own name and Mojito damn near fainted. The way his name sounded upon her lips was like a sort of magic to his ears... and then the realization that he couldn't remember her name rolled over him in a wave of shame and embarrassment. He could feel her gaze moving to his ears and he fought the urge to duck his head, the blood was flooding his face with warmth and, he was sure highly visible, color. "I uh- I have to admit I don't remember your name." He said, his voice feeling high in his own head even as he was starting to grow into a lower, less puppy-like tone. Then she nodded, paws working at sand to push out space for him and a sort of dawning realization moved across his face. She was inviting him to lay right next to her. Gods this girl was going to kill him! Mojito swallowed the lump in his throat and shuffled for a moment before nodding and lowering himself into the sand with her. He lay on his side, facing her. Much as some part of the boy wanted to wrap himself around the girl he wasn't going to do that. Instead he struggled with where to put his paws, brushing them past hers for a moment before he tucked them in closer to his chest. Mojito had never felt large, he was small for a Klein and graced with, or cursed depending on how he felt that day, a slender doglike figure. But in this moment he felt like a giant, gangly and awkward, he was afraid to touch her, in case she didn't want him to. Mojito stared at the sand for a moment, baby blues wide as he struggled to do something, to say something. Finally he swept his gaze out towards the water. "I've always liked it here." He said softly, almost as if he was talking to himself and not the cream girl before him. "I find the sound of the waves calming." "Speech" |
