The winged pup hadn't done much exploring of late. His days had been filled with patrols, training, with a sprinkle of play. He was building the muscles in his legs that allowed him to climb trees with more ease. With the help of his wings for balance, and the grip of feline-like claws. He had heard tales of drop bears, and liked to imagine that he was just as dangerous as one. Gaining the ability to startle his foes from above. Long dark tail swishing behind him with delight, the boy skirted about the territory of Abaven. He could scent Theory in the border markings, and smiled. The Alpha he considered a friend, but then, most everyone he made the acquaintance of was friend to Mortis.
He reached the lake, and paused, startled at the vastness of it. It was greatly different from the sea of his home. It was water contained, and still, without the rage of waves. He had seemed streams of course, one bordered his home. Never before had he seen a lake. He laughed softly, eager to engage in the newness of the event. "Geronimo" he shouted, shoving speed into his stride, reaching the lake, and plunging in. He tucked his wings to his side, curling his feet for the greatest impact. The water lashed out around him as he drove himself back to the surface. Tossing his head, and grinning, treading water and soaked to the bone.
