Karma Bit Me on the Ass [Justice]

Patrolling the border, at a ground-eating trot that carried her over the miles at a good enough clip to cover enough ground to make it more likely that she'd catch any would-be trouble at the border or soon after, she tended to let her mind drift a bit, go out of focus if you will, so that all she focused on was what her senses were telling her. Letting the sensory input flood through her and only really focusing on what didn't belong. Movement where there shouldn't be, odd smells, sounds. Not what belonged. So when she suddenly came alert, she paused a half step to figure out what had caught her attention, and her attention zeroed in on it to find Cairo approaching with armor. Huh, I gotta get me some of that stuff, she found herself thinking, before he started to speak. She returned his grin. "I'm always up for a fight," she agreed. "Might as well kick your ass now and get it over with." Her patrol had been quiet and she didn't anticipate anything unusual coming up, and besides there were others on sentry duty and patrol to take up the momentary slack from testing Cairo's training. She gave him a hard, savage grin. "You just caught me invading your territory, bucky, you going to give me the first move all polite or are you going to put me on the ground first and then ask questions?" She rolled her heavy shoulders, slipping into a fighting stance with her thick hackles rising. She had never subscribed to the school of thought that you should give an invader a warning first, and with the obvious wall drawing attention to the border markers there was no excuse for anyone to be walking into their territory. They'd already had their warning.
