Even though participating in the tournament hadn't exactly been her idea, she was still a bit excited to dust off her skills as a fighter. She hadn't really had a chance to do so since they got to Boreas so it would be a good chance to get herself back into the swing of things. When she walked over to the arena and saw who it was that Aurielle had paired her up with she was pleased to see that the man was pretty much exactly the same size and build as her. She was perhaps a couple inches taller than him, but barely enough to make a difference. She certainly didn't consider herself the strongest fighter so it was nice to at least be on an even playing field. She gave the man a nod as they wished each other good luck and then went to settle herself into her defensive stance and prepare herself for the fight. Once Aurielle announced the start of their fight and saw that Skælingr was giving her the floor to start their fight she took off at a run to cross the distance between them and narrow the space that had been put between them. Once she was close enough to attempt a strike of some kind, she aimed her parted jaws for his front right leg, attempting to latch her jaws around the portion of his leg just under his elbow. She tried to use the momentum of her run to dart past him with his leg between her teeth so that she might pull his leg out from under him and knock him off his feet. She wouldn't keep a hold on the limb very long if she had been able to get a hold of it at all, instead she'd release it so she could put a bit of space between them again. She'd skid to a stop just past where he was standing and turn back toward him so she could prepare herself for his retaliation.
