Valhallan Spring Tournament - Casso vs Jynn

Casso gave Jynn's companion a quick glance, noting the presence of what seemed like an even smaller wolf-like male that was waiting in the wings. He didn't acknowledge him too much right now, but he did make a note of him just so that he wouldn't be caught so off guard whenever the male decided to jump into the fray. With his two-toned gaze refocused on his main opponent he waited for her to make her first move. He let himself fall into the same focused calmness that he felt when he was hunting just to keep himself from feeling any nerves he had over being in his first real fight in a very, very long time. In fact, the only fight he'd really been within the last year or two was the one he'd had with his brother when he first arrived back in Boreas and he wasn't even sure he'd really count that.

She was fast, he'd certainly give her that. His eyes tracked her as she darted toward him. He didn't try to dodge the strike she tried to land on his left leg. Instead he let her get close and as soon as she felt her teeth tear at the skin around his knee he went to make his own strike. In the brief moment that she was within his personal space he reached out with outstretched jaws to attempt a holding bite on her scruff. He felt the stinging pain of the lacerations she left around his limb, but it'd be worth it if he was able to get a grip on her scruff. He dug his claws into the soil to hold himself firm and prevent his stance from slipping at all and his muscles were tensed and ready to make his next move.
