With a spring in her step Dantalian raced towards the group of gathering hunters. Her papa was going to be watching but she'd made him promise to keep his distance and let her do this on her own. She wasn't a baby; she didn't need a babysitter. He didn't seem to believe her when she said she was going to be the best hunter at the party, but she didn't bother being offended by that. She'd show him. He'd see. She was great and she'd hunt circles around the other puppies!

After taking one last peek at her dad to make sure he was keeping his distance like he was supposed to, Dantalian leaped into the gathering. She made a beeline for the only wolf she knew - Ardyn.
