Valhallan Spring Tournament - Elba vs Torrent

With her head held at a regal angle, Torrent strode through the crowd to reach the ring for her spar, the first she'd really participated in without her family involved. She came to stand before her opponent, eyeing her expressionlessly while the Valhallan alpha made her way out of the ring. Asriel crouched off to one side behind her, his heavy tail twitching as they waited. At Aurielle's sudden call of fight Torrent braced herself with her claws digging into the dirt. Sure enough, her smaller opponent came leaping towards her, going so far as to try to wrap her paws around Torrent's neck. Rather than allow it, Torrent slammed forward in an attempt to counter the last leap before Elba could finish rising up to grab at her. She'd take the bite as a gash along her neck if they collided, but the pain was acceptable. She bared her long fangs in a vicious grin, the only emotive expression she'd borne up to this point, and snapped her own jaws forward, seeking to slash at the other wolf's face. Whether the wolf took the bite or flinched away didn't matter so much - Torrent would find another chance to sink her teeth in. Asriel remained where he was, though he shifted his weight in preparation to spring.
