The bird struggled fiercely, but with its neck between her jaws, its fight was short. Serrated teeth snapped through the hollow bones and the head practically came off in her mouth. Spitting the bird from her maw, Resin watched its last weak tremors before it gave in to death. Carefully, she worked her teeth around the upper joint in wing and shoulder. With force and finesse, she managed to tear the wing off entirely. This process was repeated with the second wing. "Well done," she said to Wyndelin as she approached his condor. "I just need the wings. Everything else is yours. The swan as well." He would be eating well for days. Popping the wings off of the second avian, Resin wrapped them in a hide that she'd brought. "My grandson will be able to repair his armor and have extra when needed. Thank you for your help." The one-eyed woman gave a polite nod. Reflecting on the whole ordeal, she found it odd that she had claimed Azure aloud as her grandson. It was a first for her, but not entirely an unwelcome statement. |
