The fight she had done during Valhalla's festival had really made her realize how much she needed to work on her fighting. Sure, she could defend herself okay with the knowledge she had gotten from the wolves that had begun her training with in her father's band, but there was still so much for her to learn! The wolves here all seemed to be better trained than she was, but that didn't discourage her. If anything she was even more determined to learn so that she could go toe to toe with them. She had heard that there was this place called the battlefield where wolves came to fight and she set out early in the morning to go there. Of course she could learn from some of the wolves in the pack that were good at fighting too, but she liked getting all kinds of perspectives so she could see how other wolves fought too. She had learned that after experiencing how Torrent fought and then seeing the other fights throughout the tournament to compare. When she got to the wide open field she realized that she had found the battlefield when she noticed the occasional splash of old, dried blood here and there from fights that had happened in the past. By then it had grown a bit later in the day and the sun was high in the sky above her. Elba lifted her head and howled to call for someone to spar with and quietly hoped that she'd get a good opponent even if it meant that she'd lose in the end. |
