cross my heart

Siren had been quiet since her father disappeared and Mort stopped coming to play with her. She was a lonely little girl mostly forgotten in her own little world of ghosts and colors. She was fully nocturnal at this point and she was most comfortable with the darkness now. Siren held much more confidence in her movements as long as she was alone. She was still the timid creature she had always been around other wolves. Only a few had shown that she could trust them and most of the pack were strangers. Siren spent most of her time hiding away alone so it wasn’t much of a surprise.
The young Princess kept to the tiny southern island of the archipelago, it wasn’t trafficked frequently as she was allowed to have her solitude. She made friends with the tiny deer that called the place home. She ate a lot of seafood that she could scavenge from tide pools in the moonlight. Siren felt lonesome, but content. Her tiny form bounced over the beach, her little paws practically dancing in the sand. This was where she was comfortable, where she could blossom.
