Halla drew deep steady breaths as the herd started to stampede. The chasers moved swiftly and precisely, steering the injured stallion toward her and Resin. She tensed and prepared. As Resin lunged for the wounded leg, Halla leapt for the other hind leg, snagging it just below the knee. The stallion stumbled and cried out, jerking forward and pulling Halla along with him. He tried to weakly kick at her but the pain in his other hind leg was clearly hindering him. Still, Halla knew she was in a dangerous position. She released the stallion's leg as it lashed out toward her and instead she latched onto the back of the elbow, seeking to damage yet another leg. As soon as everyone got a hold the horse would have no where to go.
