Maggot got a whiff of blood, her indigo eyes widening as she raised her head from its slouched position. She was quick to spot a mostly tan wolf making their way over. She was on her feet quickly, a polite smile on her lips. She could see the blood from here, it was no simple scratch. Since the wolf seemed relatively fine besides the gruesome marks along her face, Maggot was sure she could handle this.
She blinked at the girl, eyes assessing the damage as the girl spoke. She guessed it had a good chance of healing up well, but she wasn't experienced enough to be too certain.
"Ah, well, trying to be useful where I can," she replied softly before adding, "And its Maggot, Marmoset would be too good of a name for me." Her tone wasn't self-deprecating, she just accepted that she was inferior as a fact. Inferior until proven otherwise.
Maggot wasn't the best at small talk, but she knew she had to help the girl. "Those are pretty nasty, if you want, I could at least clean them up? I understand if you would prefer Iolaire," she spoke softly, gesturing to her assortment of supplies. It was a bit difficult for her to keep eye contact for so long and so she eventually looked away, staring off to the side. Something about the girl reminded her of Mort but moreso of Sirius. Maybe her confidence, but she had a bit more elegance than the man.
