The old woman would do anything for her grandson that she could but she wasn’t sure how to put that into words exactly. Let alone if he’d fully understand them if she tried. Rhythm loved him unconditionally, even if he did feel like his life needed some work. Everyone learned and grew at their own pace, Rhythm couldn’t fault him for that.
Though he seemed vibrant and excited to talk about Strawberry he seemed to sink in on himself as he stuttered lightly and answered her softly. Rhythm offered him a look of sympathy. ”Sometimes keeping back is the best option.” She encouraged him, though she hadn’t expected him to deny her prompt. He didn’t seem like he was clueless to his weakness, so he was headed in the right direction even if he didn’t feel much like that. ”There will always be more raids,” she offered a little somberly. ”Where do you see yourself next time?” He couldn’t change where he was in the past, but he could control where his future would be.
