Skill Prompts are a monthly feature that allow your character to gain skills in different ways. Each character can only complete ONE prompt per season, and can be completed either in a solo post or in a group thread. You cannot claim these posts for other skill points! Please note that as long as you complete the objectives, you're free to be creative with your posts and have some fun with these prompts!
For solo posts, you must complete the entire prompt in one post. Of course, you can use these posts as thread starters and continue the thread as usual, but no other skills may be claimed by you from that thread.
For group threads, the word count is cumulative and will be counted over all participants. However, participants must be ACTIVELY trying to complete the skill prompt for their words to count. Note that group threads have a maximum of 3 allowed participants unless otherwise specified.

Fighting

Under The Moonlight: One of the best parts of summer is star-gazing and watching meteor showers.. combined with fighting, what could possibly go wrong?

Goal: Participate in a fight during nighttime.
Word Count: 1500 (Group)
Location: Anywhere!
Tasks:
1. Set the scene. It's night time, but is it pitch black out, or are there some stars overhead? Is a full moon? Are there meteor showers happening? Just how much light are you actually getting?
2. Engage in a fight during nighttime, for whatever reason.
3. Discuss how a nighttime setting makes a fight more challenging. Are different tactics needed in this scenario?

Reward: 30 Fighting Skill Points

Hunting

Sundried... Lizard?: With the arrival of warmer weather and sunny days, it's not uncommon to see lizards basking in the sun. Maybe you ought to take advantage of that.

Goal: Go hunt a sun-bathing lizard!
Word Count: 800 (Solo) or 1500 (Group)
Location: Anywhere sunny!
Tasks:
1. Find a lizard basking in the sun.
2. Hunt it down! Does it try to flee, or is the kill an easy one?
3. Make sure the predator is somewhat size appropriate (adult wolves don't need to hunt anoles, but pups certainly could!)
4. Is the hunt successful?
5. BONUS: +10 Hunting Points if you decide to not kill the poor lizard after all and instead take it home as a companion! (Companion pass must be purchased and applied to character before claiming this bonus)

Reward: 30 Hunting Skill Points, +10 Hunting Points if you befriend the lizard as a companion instead!

Healing

Got Some Ice For That Burn?: No, really, do you? One unfortunate side effect of summer - and too much sun - is that you might get a sunburn!

Goal: Find a way to treat a sunburn, either on yourself or another character.
Word Count: 800 (Solo) or 1500 (Group)
Location: Anywhere!
Tasks:
1. Experience a sunburn, or examine a sunburn on another character. Is it mild or more severe? What does it feel like, and where is it located?
2. Figure out a way to either soothe the burn, aid in the healing, or both. Try out your method!
3. Does it provide relief immediately? How successful is the treatment?

Reward: 30 Healing Skill Points

Navigation

Island Vacation: Summertime is the perfect time to go island hopping!

Word Count: 800 (Solo) or 1500 (Group)
Location: Any island not in the North.
Tasks:

1. Go check out an island.
2. Explore to your heart's content.
3. Focus especially on the summer setting. Is the vegetation plentiful? Is it nice and sunny? Do you spend some time lounging in the sand alone or playing beach games with a friend?

Reward: 30 Navigation Skill Points

Intellect

Scary Stories to Tell In The Dark: Is anything spookier on a summer night than a bonfire and a scary ghost story? Bonfire is optional!

Goal: Tell, or listen to, a spooky story!
Word Count: 1500 (Group)
Location: Anywhere.
Tasks:
1. Find someone to tell a scary story to, or be told a spooky story by another character - but it has to be at night time!
2. Lay out the setting where the story is being told. Does the darkness make it scarier, or is your character fearless?
3. Hear or tell the story out to the end. What's the conclusion? How does your character react?

Reward: 30 Intellect Skill Points

BONUS PROMPT- HUNTING/NAVIGATION

Only one bonus prompt per PLAYER allowed each season. A character can only complete ONE prompt a season, whether it be a bonus prompt or a regular prompt, unless otherwise specified.

Seafood: One of the lesser known prey options in both Boreas and Auster is.. well, seafood! Catching much without getting wet is difficult, so maybe it's just time to suck it up and go swimming.

Goal: Go diving in the ocean and catch some seafood in the process!
Word Count: 2500 (2 wolves); 3500 (3 wolves): 4500 (4 wolves)

2. Let's go swimming. Not just a little wade in the shallows, but really swim and explore the ocean! How far down can you go, and what do you find?
3. Describe the ocean landscape! It's not all just sand!
4. Catch some seafood in the process - doesn't have to be just fish!

Reward: 30 Hunting Skill Points & 30 Navigation Skill Points
