Catching fire

"Oh, look. A party." Aslatiel had been practicing her stalking and had followed Dunkan for quite some time without the boy even knowing she was there. The cat was a surprise, but it wasn't an unwelcome one. Everyone knew that Asla liked killing things. She came out of her hiding place once the fight was started and the fun was on.

As Dunkan and Urasa distracted the mountain lion from one side, Aslatiel and Ashur attacked it from the rear. Both used their claws to rake down the cougars haunches. Both let out a roar as they did so. The pair were becoming a really good team. The cougar cried out and spun, its attention now on the small girl and her leopard. The grin never left Asla's face.
