Osmond quickly confirmed what she already knew and her anger quickly began to out weigh her fear. The moment she saw the snarl form on his lips, all of her training came back to her and she snarled in return while her hackles raised. She wasn't the defenseless, deprived woman she once was. She was the General of a powerful pack with hours and hours of training behind her and several wolves that had already sworn to kill the wolves that had hurt her. Even though that conditioning in her brain told her to stand down, to take her punishment, to not fight back or she would only be punished worse for it... She knew better now. She was more than that. Osmond couldn't control her now. She ducked away from his outstretched jaws, his teeth mostly snapping down onto thin air. His teeth barely scraped the side of her neck, leaving a few deep scratches behind and pulling blood to the surface of her skin. Without skipping a beat, she darted back toward him and immediately latched her sharp teeth onto his neck with her bottom jaw sinking into the base of his throat. She heard his pained, slightly strangled snarl in response and she jerked her head, tearing open the wound a bit before she let go and quickly staggered back out of his reach. He fell back a couple steps, both of them panting hard. It had been a quick bite and release and it was far less than then she actually wanted to do to him, but she knew she wasn't going to be able to completely overpower him on her own. He was still larger and heavier than her and she didn't want to risk it. The adrenaline was making her shaky and she didn't trust herself to actually go for a lethal blow without hesitating. She had to get back. She needed Resin, she needed Sirus. Her eyes flicked toward the other woman. She needed to get her out of here. That wound would slow him down, but it wouldn't stop him. Her eyes went back to him just in time to see him reach toward her again and she quickly jumped out of the way, but his teeth still caught her shoulder and left a few deep lacerations there. It made her stumble, but she pushed through. They had to go - now. She turned back toward the Armada's lands, looking at the woman that she would only assume was Iona's younger sister, and yelling, "Follow me!" She took off at a full sprint, hoping that the woman actually followed her directions and was able to keep up with her. |
