Her shove flung the smaller female to the ground, but she managed to bounce back to her feet before the slower Torrent could follow up in a pounce. She came on again, and again Torrent braced herself, but Elba shot past her rather than seeking to meet her chest to chest again. As Elba's jaws moved towards her leg, Torrent slammed that leg forward, seeking to jam it into Elba's maw until her jaws were forced open, rather than able to close. As she did, she aimed a slashing bite of her own reaching over top of Elba's back to the ribcage on the opposite side, seeking to slice her saberteeth along them. Asriel chose the moment to spring, claws extended as he attempted to pounce and sink them into her hips.
