With their marks made Daelos let go of the leather and let it fall slack again so that it could be laid across the ground between them. She looked up toward Skælingr as well when he spoke before glancing back toward Elba with a proud smile as the girl told about how she had come across the colored leather and the bit of information that the seller had shared. She loved seeing her daughter so energetic and excited about things. It wasn't exactly a rare occurrence for someone like Elba that was easily excited and entertained by things she was learning, but it just meant that her and Ochre's teachings about valuing learning were paying off. She turned her dual-toned blue gaze back toward the leather and eyed it for a moment before reaching over to pick up a thin piece of rock off the ground. She held it in her mouth in a way that let one edge of it sick out so that she could trace out more defined lines in the leather for where they needed to start working the material down. Her claw marks had been a good start, but if they were going to be taking this back home with them to continue working on then she didn't want to lose their lines in transit some how. At least this way the lines were more noticeable. |
