Jynn held her stick up with her paws and started chewing on the end to form a notch. She eyed the knife for a moment then adjusted the notch. Once that was done she grabbed a stick of pine pitch and started to heat the dark, sticky material over the communal fire. It didn't take long for the pitch to soften and as soon as it did she trotted back over to her project. Propping the stick up with her paws she dabbed some of the pitch on the notch, making sure it seeped into the crevices. Jynn set the pine pitch down across a ceramic bowl and then picked up her bone blade. Carefully she positioned it into the notch full of pitch and then held it there til it dried. She could wrap and seal some sinew around it but she opted to leave it as it was for now and see how it held up.
