Viper could hear the steps of what sounded like another wolf pounding in the distance and growing closer. Her ears swiveled around as she listened and hoped that Jupiter was just that happy to see her but she was gravely mistaken.

A large wolf, they always seemed to be twice her size, came into collision with her shoulder but not before she saw it coming to ground herself for the impact. The stranger who came at her, teeth bearing, would be met with a similar attack out of instinct. But Viper aimed to grab hold of the loose scruff front of her left shoulder, lined up with the center of her chest. The feel of the girl’s teeth was exhilarating to Viper, she almost always fought for fun and training rather than a real battle.
