He kicked out at her, fending off her bite to his leg. That was fine. Rather than run into the shadows again, Aslatiel stayed out in the open, sticking close to her brother while it was dark. The small wolf dove forward in an attempt to wind herself between his legs and trip him up. She hoped that he fell. If he did, he'd get his surprise a lot sooner.
There had been such a buildup in Aslatiel of late. Kissing helped that buildup a little, but in some ways it made it a whole lot worse. There was some sort of release that she needed, but she didn't know how to achieve it. It was all very frustrating. She had a mind to ask one of her parents about it, but at the same time to the prospect of admitting that she didn't know something to them was embarrassing. Already she felt as though she was looked down upon. Admitting weakness of any sort would just make her feel more worthless. Maybe she would figure it out on her own. Maybe she'd figure it out with Indigo.
