Halla settled in to wait, keeping an eye on the mountain goat as the man moved into position. The goat was moving slow and at one point it settled down entirely to rest. This gave the man the time needed to get into place. Halla tracked his progress and then when he was in place she started stalking carefully toward the goat. It was resting on the rocky outcropping, chewing on some weeds that were growing nearby. She watched it's ribcage rise and fall. Coiling her legs beneath her and plotting her course she suddenly sprang forward. Rocks scattered as she dove forward. The goat scrambled to his feet as Halla closed in. The goat leapt forward, rocketing across the rocky terrain as she closed the distance between them. She slipped at one point but so did the goat. Uninjured she was able to recover more quickly and her fangs latched onto the goat's injured leg a she thrashed. The goat kicked and flailed and ripped from her, racing right toward where Corvus was laying in wait.
