Basilisk

It was rare for her to sleep more than a few hours at a time. The movement of her new guard didn't rouse her in the slightest since she was used to sleeping in a communal den with others milling about. So, whether Basilisk was moving or not, Asla wouldn't wake until she was good and ready. Three, maybe four hours later, she began to stir. A little grimace pulled down her brows as she sat up. Her previously injured shoulder was a little stiff. She'd make the mistake of sleeping on it. Rolling that shoulder a bit, she grumbled and moved out into the main chamber. Ever quiet on her paws, Aslatiel peered in at the resting form of Basilisk before slipping out of the den and into the morning light. It had just begun to peek over the horizon. What would he do if left alone, she wondered? Would he simply stay there until she returned or would he come looking for her? It was an interesting question and would show just what kind of guard he was going to be. For now, Asla sat outside the den, soaking in the morning sunlight. "Speech" |
