When at last he had a mostly smooth section of antler that was about straight he turned his attention to the one base of antler left. He was going to use this as a notch to hold the dart. Chewing on the base of the antler to shape it a bit more he hummed lightly to himself. Once that was done he started chewing in a little notch just to make it easier to keep the dart in place.
