His bite was well off as he tried to reach around to grab her, and she wouldn't let her grip loosen if that meant he couldn't reach her. But it was close. And when she saw the opportunity, she let go instantly and reached to grab hold of the front bone on his thigh. She wanted to get her face far enough away from his teeth and still inflict more pain in another part of his body. As Kefka saw this as a lesson to teach her to back off, she would find it disgraceful for him to lose such an emotional battle to him. And this "lesson" would be nothing more than to teach him not to fuck around while his life depended on it.
