Right. It dawned on Hanako that Kefka wasn't missing her signals, he was outright ignoring them, brushing her concerns aside as if they meant nothing. She leaned away from his touch, her movement swift as her lips curled down in disgust. The thought of tolerating his presence a moment longer made her feel queasy and the temptation to run grew with each passing moment. She knew she could leave him in the dust once she got going, that if she made a bee line for the Armada he likely wouldn't follow, but he was too close. Every time she pulled away he just barged his way back into her personal space, she had a feeling that if she tried to pull away more forcibly with the intent to leave he'd just grab a hold of her. And if that happened she knew she wouldn't be able to fend him off, she'd be toast if it came down to a fight and they both knew it.
What was his problem? Rather than feeling fear as she probably ought to, Hanako just felt icky, like she's stepped in something nasty and he wouldn't let her go to clean it off. It was insulting, that he seemed to think he had any power over her...when from what she could tell he was just a nobody. His name carried no weight around here and the fact he thought he had any right to lord over her was laughable. She'd rubbed elbows with princes and kings, who on earth did he think he was? Her paws itched like crazy, she'd been about to just throw caution to the wind and be done with it when her nose caught Azure's scent. She only needed to stall for a moment longer before he strode onto the scene, strong and confident with biting words.
Azure barged his way between them and Hanako happily took the chance to give herself some well needed space. It was like a breath of fresh air, she didn't realise how much she valued her own personal space till it was invaded by someone who most certainly was no longer welcome to share her company. That bridge was already burning and Hanako wanted to stay to watch Azure rip the remains to shreds. She had no intention of intervening on Kefka's behalf and whilst violence wasn't her thing she felt an odd sense of satisfaction in knowing that some things stayed the same. Her Keepers had shed blood in her defence, it felt right that Azure would do the same.
She said nothing, only offering Azure a nod of approval. He'd do what had to be done, of that she was certain.
