Coran had spent the earlier part of the morning watching other wolves at their jobs, not idly but to try and learn a bit of what they did, and to just know some of them better. He would ask questions when it felt he could do so without getting in the way. He might ask healers about the herbs they used and asked a guard about a piece of armor and how it worked. He wanted to know everyone in the pack better as well.
After his mind was filled with new knowledge it would struggle to remember he had off planning to spend the rest of the morning working on his fighting abilities. Little Coran wanted to be ready when it was his turn to protect the pack and to protect his family. The cream coated brindle pup headed to the ravine as well, slowing his pace when he saw Ardyn and went to join him on the sand. “Hey! Ardyn,” the pup called out happily to see his older brother. His tail raised up high, watching his brother’s movements.
“How about some real practice?” Coran got close then ducked into a play bow. The great thing about fighting was that it was just as fun as it was serious and important. Of course so far the only fighting Coran had done was spars, lessons or practice. Fighting hadn’t been a life or death matter this early in his life.
