The collision with the man's shoulder brought a sharp pain through Az's bone, though he managed to maintain his hold on Kefka's scruff through the sudden shock. He was able to feel the shift of balance as Kefka's paw reach for his own. The man's fur touched his own, though Az allowed the contact if only to take advantage of the off-balancing movement Kefka had offered so graciously. With his opponent's right paw wrapping around towards the left side of his own body, Kefka would have a much harder time maintaining his balance when Azure shoved his weight onto his back.

The movement was successful and both Kefka and Azure fell onto their sides and into the water. Azure knew the battle could not last much longer should either of them wish to not drown. He relinquished his hold upon the man's scruff, instead moving to attempt to enclose his large jaws around the man's muzzle while his back paws kicked at Kefka's manly parts - if he got lucky, perhaps a claw or two from his hind paw would come away bloodied.

Azure's companions had finally found him, having been scouting the way north to Winterfell. The bat Diablo flew above the battling pair, watching for an opportunity to assist his wolf while the young leopard stood upon the shore growling fiercely but too afraid to step into the water to assist.
